ASIAN PORK ROAST SLOW COOKER RECIPE

Slow cookers are great and probably best known for preparing a pot roast dinner. Searing the meat prior to cooking locks in the flavor and creates an essence that can be added to the water or broth that’s necessary to crock pot cooking. Potatoes, carrots, and onions go into the cooker with the meat and are then cooked for eight hours. Fresh ground pepper, a pinch of salt, oregano, and garlic can be used to season the meal.

Asian foods can also be adapted to the slow cooker. The rice or noodles can be cooked on the stove and the noodles added when the food is done cooking and ready to eat. Asian cooking makes use of fresh ginger, fish sauce, mushrooms, corn, Asian cabbage (bok choy), miso, tofu, noodles, and several spices. The taste can be mild and flavorful or hot and spicy depending on the preference of those consuming the meal. Peanuts are also employed in Chinese cooking.

Slow Cooker Pork Soup - Easy and Mouthwatering

Have you ever made soup in your crockpot? Soup recipes are great for slow cooking because the crockpot cooks the ingredients slowly and all the flavors blend together perfectly. Vegetable soup recipes are great in the slow cooker and you can even make classic soups like a crockpot French onion soup recipe.

Pork soup might sound unusual and this dish is easy to make and will make a change from your usual dinner staples. Pork ribs can be combined with broth, vegetables, and seasonings to make a really flavorful soup. Most meats cook really well in the crockpot and pork is no exception. The meat will be incredibly tender.

PORK CHOPS WITH ONION MUSTARD GLAZE

This is for the onion lover. This recipe creates a lot of sauce btw.

1 tablespoon vegetable oil
4-6 1-inch thick pork chops
2 onions, thinly sliced
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1 pinch cayenne pepper
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon cider vinegar
1/2 cup white wine
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
1/2 cup whipping cream

In a skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat and brown pork chops on both sides; place in bottom of slow cooker when browned. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and saute onions until softened; add garlic, dry mustard, salt and pepper, and cayenne and cook, stirring, for 1 minute. Add flour and cook, stirring, for 1 minute. Add vinegar and wine and cook until thickened. Pour this mixture over pork chops, put lid on crockpot and cook on Low for 4 to 5 hours or on High for 2 to 2-1/2 hours (I did Low for 4-1/2 hours), or just until pork is tender.
Remove pork chops from slow cooker and place on a warmed platter. Stir Dijon mustard and whipping cream into juices in slow cooker; when well combined, turn slow cooker off and pour sauce over chops on platter and serve immediately. 5 servings
